A signed* original pencil drawing on tracing paper from 1985. Titled 'Hydra Sketch (II)', this is a preliminary sketch of the Hydra for the cover of Seas of Blood, a single-player roleplaying game-book, which forms part of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy series.
Authentication is provided by an accompanying certificate of authenticity, "genuine original artwork" stamped, dated and hand-signed by Rodney Matthews.
Measures 302 (h) x 248 (w) mm, inclusive of mount.
A crease is visible where the paper had once been folded. Also, some creasing at top left. The condition is reflected in the price.
