DESCRIPTION

This image from Lewis Carroll's nonsense poem 'Jabberwocky' is Matthews' response to a request from Wizard & Genius Posters, Zurich, for something along the lines of 'Treebeard'.  The image was later licensed for use by keyboardists Oliver Wakeman (Yes) and Clive Nolan (Arena and Pendragon) for their concept album of the same title, released in 1999.  The first ten prints in this limited edition are co-signed by Oliver Wakeman.*

Am so proud to have this in our home!

Back in college a good friend wanted a cool poster and I helped him pick this one because it was such amazing artwork you could look at for hours. The picture crossed my mind over the years but I never saw another poster of it again. Last year I decided to do a thorough search online as I never forgot the name of the picture, and was finally rewarded by finding Rodney Matthews studio. I saved the picture when it arrived because it was so special and when we bought our first home in October 2020 - I finally got it framed. Now it hangs over our fireplace mantle in a place of artistic honour and is by far our favourite piece of art we have so far. Thank you so much for everything you do, and we look forward to collecting more incredible pieces of yours in the coming years.
