A signed original pencil drawing on tracing paper from 1979. Titled 'Obsidian Castle', this drawing directly preceded the full colour painting which appears in Elric at the End of Time.
Authentication is provided by an accompanying certificate of authenticity, "genuine original artwork" stamped, dated and hand-signed by Rodney Matthews.
Measures 494 (h) x 362 (w) mm, inclusive of mount.
Two creases are visible across the centre of the image. The condition is reflected in the price.
