I've been looking for this picture for a very long time. That the heavens for the internet cause I finally found it. First was the poster/card when I was in my late teens. Now I am 60 and it is good to have it back on my wall. Thanks Rodney for sharing your work still.
I had been aiming to acquire the Ice Spirit poster for some years, when I saw the RMS website by chance: I can say that I am very pleased that I chose this gyclee print - just what I wanted!
Now, mounted and framed, it is hanging in pride of place!
I bought a few Matthews posters in my college days (late '70s). This was my favorite. It's an imaginative realization of the ship, but one that is respectful of its source material. This is the only one I still had on my wall when graduation came. (This review is based on my memory of the original edition.)
I bought this for my dad, having kept an eye on availability for quite some time. He was overjoyed with the gift and has replaced his Terence cuneo over the mantle. Thank you
