DESCRIPTION
Painted in 1987. One of many illustrations for The Moth and the Moon, an unpublished book collaboration between Matthews and Nigel Suckling. The image later inspired a musical track of the same name, composed by Pete Coleman, which is included in Matthews’ album Trinity.

I have admired this picture ever since I bought a collection of the RM cards when I was at school in the late 70s. This beautiful signed print ia wonderful.
