Commissioned for Praying Mantis’ 1981 album of the same name. The original design had a character seated upon the mantis, but was removed at the request of the band’s manager.

Back in the early '80s I was totally into the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, I loved the music and all the imagery surrounding it (Actually I still do!). I remember buying "Time Tells No Lies" by Praying Mantis in 1981: one of my favorite albums of that era, but the cover artwork was even better! So it's great to have that beautiful piece of art hanging on my wall. I love it!
